It is hard to believe after the tough 14 months we all faced, we are all still here – stronger than we knew and perhaps more determined than ever to make the very most of the 2021 season.
All indications are that this is going to be a “brilliant” season for guests visiting the Islands and the shores of Lake Champlain. One local lodging business recently reported an uptick of 43 percent in reservations for May over 2019. Other businesses are reporting that they, too, are seeing a lot of interest in visiting the Islands this summer and fall.
With that in mind, the Islander team is bringing back the Adventure Guide after a 4-year hiatus.
Not only will our guests want to know where to go, what to see, where to eat and places to stay, but new residents to the area will as well.
We are planning on a 28-plus pages guide for this year featuring events, shopping, eating and must visit locations, a little something for everyone really. 20,000 copies of the guide will be printed and distributed in Grand Isle, Chittenden and Franklin county in Vermont and Clinton County in New York.
The publication will be on stands from the Friday prior to Memorial Day through Columbus Day.
In addition to the print version of the guide, information from the guide and advertising will be available on our new website www.theislandsguide.com (in progress) and the Islands Guide facebook page.
Let us make this a BRILLIANT season – our resiliency has got us here. Our ingenuity, perseverance, and enthusiasm will lead to that success!
Please be in touch soon to reserve space. The deadline for all materials will be Wednesday, May 19 at 4 p.m.
