![]() ALBURGH -- The Alburgh Selectboard will have a special meeting Tuesday evening to discuss how the town should try to restart regular municipal meetings in the wake of the deadly COVID-19 virus. The meeting is planned for 6:30 p.m. at the town offices at 1 North Main Street, according to Assistant Town Clerk and Treasurer Danielle James Choiniere. The Selectboard is interested in the proper steps it will need to take to resume town business and for people to stay safe. The Selectboard may opt to move the meeting to the hall in the adjoining fire department if extra proper social spacing for COVID-19 is required due to the size of the audience, she said. Alburgh officials canceled most municipal meetings and public gatherings following Gov. Phil Scott’s Executive Order concerning COVID-19, the name given to the pandemic that first started to affect people in Wuhan, China in December 2019. Some Vermont towns have used conference calls or Zoom and Google for municipal meetings during the scare.
