​NEW WATER STORAGE TANK STARTUP

Construction is now complete on the town’s new water storage tank. Startup operations will begin during the week of March 16. This will involve bringing the tank online and testing out various operating scenarios.
During this time, customers may experience pressure fluctuations or cloudiness in the water. Any of these conditions will be temporary and of no concern from a safety standpoint. 
The Water Department maintains a chlorine residual throughout the entire system which acts as a continuous disinfectant barrier, protecting water quality all the way to the tap.
The town of North Hero is excited to have reached this milestone, which will greatly increase the reliability of the system.
