Between Friday, Sept. 8 and Thursday, Sept. 14, the Milton Police Department arrested 1 person.
Friday, Sept. 8
3:01 p.m. US Route 7 S, Assault - Simple
Cpl. Jones and Sgt. Locke responded to the area of US RT 7 for the report of a physical disturbance. After speaking with both parties separately it was confirmed a physical altercation did occur. Both parties declined to be medically evaluated and one subject was issued a citation for Simple Assault and will appear in court.
4:07 p.m. Pecor Ave, Welfare Check
Sgt. Locke was dispatched to a residence on Pecor Ave where a loud verbal argument could be heard. Upon arrival, Sgt. Locke made contact with the two subjects who advised they often fight, but it is only verbal. Sgt. Locke suggested they separate within the home for the evening as to de-escalate the argument.
Saturday, Sept. 9
10:28 a.m. Cobble Hill Rd / Lela Mae Pl, ATV/Snowmobile Complaint
Cpl. Jones responded to the area of Cobble Hill Road and Lela Mae Place for the complaint of loud dirt bikes operating frequently up and down the road. Cpl. Jones was able to locate two dirt bike operators and advised them it is unlawful to operate their dirt bikes in the roadway.
8:37 p.m. Woodcrest Cir, Medical
Sgt. LaFountain was dispatched to a residence on Woodcrest Circle for a resident experiencing a medical incident. Sgt. LaFountain remained on scene for the arrival of Colchester Rescue who transported the resident for further medical care.
Sunday, Sept. 10
12:12 a.m. Park Pl, Traffic Stop
While on patrol, Ofc. Carlson initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle observed making a prohibited left turn on to Bombardier Road from US RT 7 South. The operator was given a written warning.
8:45 p.m. Checkerberry Sq, Suspicious Event
Ofc. Carlson was dispatched to a residence on Checkerberry Square where a resident reported hearing multiple gunshots. The area was searched, though nothing suspicious could be found. No additional calls were received in regards to gun shots.
Monday, Sept. 11
10:37 a.m. East Rd / McMullen Rd, Animal Problem
Sgt. Philbrook was dispatched to the area of East and McMullen Road for cows in the road, blocking the roadway. Sgt. Philbrook was able to move the cows out of the roadway to allow for traffic to flow as normal.
Tuesday, Sept. 12
4:53 p.m. Park Pl / Bombardier Rd, Juvenile Problem
Ofc. Bosworth, Sgt. Philbrook, and Lt. Scalise were dispatched to Bombardier Park for the report of a large fight in progress. On scene at the park, the group had largely dispersed and the two individuals at the center of the fight were identified and located. The Juveniles had no visible or reported injuries and their parents were contacted.
11:53 p.m. Middle Rd, Assist - Public
Cpl. Grenier responded to a business on Middle Road for a retail theft in progress. Upon arrival, the subject did admit to concealing items, and was given the opportunity to pay for them. The individual was subsequently trespassed from the business.

4:50 p.m. Bombardier Rd, Assist - Agency
Sgt. Locke assisted the Vermont State Police with a traffic stop conducted in town.

11:41 a.m. Lake Rd, St Albans Town, Assist - K9
Cpl. Jones and his K9 Partner Biscotti responded to St Albans Town to assist the Franklin County Sherriff’s Office at their request for a K9 drug sniff.
1:40 p.m. Westford Rd / Bernier Dr, Accident - Property Damage
Sgt. LaFountain was dispatched to the area of Westford Road for a driver reporting their vehicle was struck by a tree branch while driving. On scene, a dead tree branch had fallen and caused moderate damage to the windshield, hood, and passenger side mirror. The driver was uninjured in the incident.

12:36 p.m. Main St, Assist - Public
Ofc. Bosworth responded to a residence on Main Street for a disturbance between neighbors. Upon arrival, it was confirmed the incident was verbal in nature over property issues. The incident was documented and the residents were advised to address property issues with the landlord.
Saturday, Aug. 19
7:56 p.m. Boysenberry Dr, Overdose
Cpl. Grenier was dispatched to a residence on Boysenberry Drive for the report of a resident experiencing an overdose. On scene, Cpl. Grenier was directed to the subject and was informed two Narcan doses had been administered and CPR was in progress. Cpl. Grenier administered an additional dose of Narcan and the subject began to regain consciousness. The resident was ultimately transported for additional medical care.
9:00 a.m. McMullen Rd / Winter Ln, Traffic Stop
While on patrol, Ofc. McQueen initiated a traffic stop for an observed motor vehicle violation. Upon making contact with the operator, it was confirmed their license was suspended. Additionally, though the operator claimed they had purchased the vehicle from someone on Facebook Marketplace, the vehicle was reported as stolen out of South Burlington. The driver was issued a citation and will appear in court.
Sunday, Aug. 20
1:06 a.m. Acorn Dr, Medical
Ofc. Schiavo was dispatched to a residence on Acorn Drive for a resident experiencing a medical incident. Ofc. Schiavo remained on scene until the arrival of Milton Rescue.
10:38 a.m. Rita Way, Suspicious Event
Ofc. McQueen met with a resident at their residence on Rita Way where a neighbor had notified them that a window could be seen that was recently broken. On arrival, the glass from the living room window could be seen in the grass, with two large dogs barking on the other side. The interior of the residence was searched as a precaution, and was found to be secure. Another neighbor confirmed the dogs were barking at a cat and broke the window.
Monday, Aug. 21
11:13 a.m. Centre Dr, Retail Theft
Ofc. Flynn responded to a business on Centre Drive for the report of a retail theft. Upon reviewing the surveillance footage of the incident, the subject was identified and trespassed from the business.
11:48 p.m. Howard Dr, Assist – Motorist
While on patrol, Ofc. Carlson stopped to make contact with a disabled vehicle with their hazard lights activated in the area of Howard Drive and RT 7. The operator advised their car had overheated on their way home. Ofc. Carlson provided the driver a courtesy ride home.
Tuesday, Aug. 22
7:17 a.m. Railroad St / Hilary St, DLS
While on patrol, Cpl. Coulombe initiated a traffic stop for an observed motor vehicle violation. Upon identifying the driver it was learned that their license was criminally suspended. The operator was issued a citation and will appear in court.
3:38 p.m. US Route 2 / Flats, Assist – Motorist
While on patrol, Ofc. Flynn made contact with two disabled motorcycles with their hazard lights activated on US RT2. The operators advised one of the motorcycles had broken down, but they had someone en route to assist.
Wednesday, Aug. 23
7:14 p.m. Bombardier Rd, Assist - Public
Ofc. Schiavo spoke with two subjects in regards to a dispute over property being held at a storage unit in town. Both individuals were informed the issue was a civil matter, and could be worked out amongst themselves or in civil court.
9:35 p.m. US Route 7, Colchester, Assist - Agency
Sgt. Philbrook and Ofc. McQueen responded to Colchester to assist the Colchester Police Department with a motorcycle crash. Sgt. Philbrook and Ofc. McQueen directed traffic, allowing Colchester officers to investigate the crash.
Thursday, Aug. 24
1:08 p.m. River St, DLS
While on patrol, Sgt. LaFountain initiated a traffic stop for an observed motor vehicle violation. Upon making contact and identifying the operator, it was learned their license was criminally suspended. The operator was issued a citation and will appear in court at a later date.
1:13 p.m. Kapica Ln, Domestic Disturbance
Ofc. Bosworth and Cpl. Porter were dispatched to a residence on Kapica Lane for a domestic dispute between former partners over recently adopted dogs. On arrival, both parties reported “threats” the other had made, but neither was looking for legal action. Ultimately one of the individuals were permitted to retrieve a puppy (puppies were acquired together, one “belonging” to each of the parties). This ended the dispute with no additional assistance needed.

12:36 p.m. Main St, Assist - Public
