Construction of the long-planned water storage tank on Station Road is about to begin. Once completed, the reliability of the distribution system will be greatly improved. Unfortunately, due to the lengthy State permitting process, construction is starting later than originally planned. Due to some of the grant funding received having time constraints, the construction schedule has become critical. In order to expedite the schedule as much as possible, the contractor will be performing some weekend work in July. More information will be provided when available.

Due to the retirement of Bob Greenough, the cemetery commission is seeking a member to complete Mr. Greenough’s term. Greenough dedicated over 20 years of service to the cemetery commission. His extensive knowledge of the cemeteries and the meticulous care he provided as the chairperson have been invaluable. The quality of North Hero’s cemeteries is a direct result of Greenough’s leadership and the way the commission operates is a testament to his effective leadership. If you are interested in volunteering for the open position please send a letter of interest to chairperson, Frank Dattilio, at [email protected] or drop your letter off at the town office.
